2009 Hverfisgata

This year's studio focuses on Hverfisgata, from Lækjargata to Hlemmur. The street is a real challenge. Many residents of Reykjavík will tell you that it is their least favorite street, they will tell you about the constant bus traffic, the bus station Hlemmur that harbours drunks, the many run-down office buildings, the abandonned houses, the parking lots, the vacant lots, etc. The class will show 14 projects on the street.
