urban analysis exhibition in Norræna húsið

The first year architecture students at LHÍ are holding an exhibition in Norræna húsið of the urban analysis project the class did on Frakkastígur. The objective of this analysis was to study the evolution of urban spaces. Frakkarstígur was documented and studied from the church Hallgrímskirkja to the ocean front. The project adresses the introduction of 10000 m3 of additional built volume to Frakkastígur, or the equivalent of one Skuggitower. A projected vision is cast of a future development of a diverse and busy Frakkastígur.  Here below are some pictures from the opening of the exibition, it will be open until the 29th of april.
